SFF Vs LFF

  • System used for testing:


    HP ML350 G5 quad CPU with 4GB RAM
    Four Fujitsu 2.5 15K disks and Perc6i with 256MB
    Four Seagate 15K.6 disks and Perc6i with 256MB

  • For benchmarking we used CrystalDisk and HDTune

  • LFF performed much better this was not expected as performance of smaller disks is usually as good or better
